Broadcast Buyer

WPP agency, JWT Action, is seeking Broadcast Buyers in our Akron or Indianapolis office.   Experience in spot TV buying is helpful.   Automotive experience is a plus.  We are a growing agency with a great roster of clients.

DESCRIPTION:

–     Negotiates local TV and radio spot buys per client guidelines

–     Secures efficient costs and added-value

–     Inputs and maintains schedules in buying system

–     Forecasts target audience delivery and market costs

–     Adheres to client guidelines and meets due dates

–     Accurate communication and reporting with team members and clients

–     Regular buy maintenance, including makegoods, revisions, log checks, and posting

–     Reviews and resolves billing discrepancies as needed

–     Participates in training and supervisory roles to develop team members

–     Travel and participation in client meetings as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

–     2 or more years of local TV buying in multiple markets

–     Extensive knowledge of TV buying processes, systems, markets, and TV programming

• Maintains direct, day-to-day, coordination of client projects

• Monitors clients’ business as well as industry and competitor news

• Assists with estimates and billing on assigned business

• Contributes inspired ideas

• Keeps abreast of project deadlines and provides communication to teams

• Help develop business for BCH through existing account growth and other new business opportunities

• Work with General Manager to track and monitor potential new accounts in market

• Continuous desire to learn and be a part of an agency on the grow

• Reports to the Senior Account Manager/General Manager
